There are many things that you should know and be prepared for before a breast augmentation surgery.
Your doctor will want to talk to you about your current physical and mental health. He will also want to know about your desired expectations from the surgery. He should be able to let you know whether your expectations are realistic or not.
Your plastic surgeon will want to know about any current medical conditions that you have, medications you are taking, and any previous surgeries that
you may have gone through. He will also want to know if you have had complications with anesthesia before or any other complications during breast enlargement surgery. Be sure to be completely open and honest with your doctor, so that you do not experience any unnecessary problems during any part of the surgical process.

Your doctor will also want to know about any results you have had from previous mammograms or if you have had a family history of breast cancer. This does not mean that you can't have the surgery. Your doctor just needs to be prepared for anything that can happen so he can better care for you. He will want to examine your breasts and take measurements of their size, shape, and structure for him to refer to during the process.
He may also want to take pictures of your breasts for reference as well. There are many things that he will want to discuss with you including the possible outcomes and risks involved with the surgery, the use of anesthesia, and information on your plans for aftercare, especially if you are having the surgery as an outpatient. Make sure that you prepare your home for your recovery before the surgery and that you are prepared to take some time off work while you heal.
